Whatever the subject of my artwork, it is always born out of a fascination with the world, from a drive to understand, to re-contextualize and affect it.
Adrian Atwater (b.1980, Sibiu/Hermannstadt, Romania) is a multidisciplinary artist working in Lisbon and Chicago. Atwater finds inspiration in the interplay of history, subjectivity, and complexity science. While his work often employs software, sound, and video, painting remains central to his practice.
