On the surface, I construct abstractly. However, there is an underlying subtext to the forms of human-like characteristics, breathing entities with thought-provoking motion and the suggestion of bodily contours as expressed through rattan reed, encaustic wax, and liquid rubber.

Eileen Braun (b.1952, Boston, Massachusetts) is an Atlanta-based, American sculptor, known for her blended abstract interpretations of nature and science. Her current work is evocative of body contours, play with light, shadow, and interior and exterior perception.
