Elemental structures, simple geometry, and references to the Earth in my abstract encaustic paintings suggest lasting processes, hinting at eternal truths. My goal is to spark imagination; inviting people to feel a deep connection to the power of the natural world and strengthen their emotional connection to the planet.

Jane Michalski (b.1955, Sheboygan, Wisconsin) is a working artist and longtime resident of Chicago. Her creative energy is fueled by the presence of Lake Michigan and her love for the natural world. She has exhibited in local, regional, and national shows. Her award-winning encaustic paintings are included in many private collections. A recipient of grants from DCASE and the IACA, she has a BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and an MA from the University of Illinois.
