My work is an exploration of material manipulation, which involves an intuitive and calculated process. I begin with a fragmented idea, and through experimentation, each work begins to react to the creative moment and my emotional state of mind. The end result, abstract in nature, allures the viewer to reflect on their own experiences.

Sally Ko (b.1971, Seoul, Korea) immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of two. Her artistic repertoire is particularly renowned for her unique technique of pouring and manipulating paint. Through this method, Sally achieves a delicate balance between fluidity and precision, resulting in captivating compositions. The elusive patterns and aesthetics present in her paintings not only reflect the explicit themes or subjects depicted, but also embody the cognitive processes that breathe life into her artworks.
